Rose first wrote a romantic but unrealistic song about her, which he scrapped because it would not be an honest composition to her. He wrote it again, this time including details about her drug addiction. her mother’s death, and his father’s involvement in the porn industry, to which the band expressed concern, especially Slash.

Young liked the song’s honesty, fortunately. Slash has since then reported that Michelle had managed to clean up her life and moved across the country in the process.

“Used To Love Her” – Lies (1988)
