Via ICTS students and personnel at KU Leuven - and in some cases the entire Association - have access to a whole range of software packages with advantageous KU Leuven conditions.

I need to silently deploy a software via sccm. When I do the setup.exe /? It says the silent install is setup /S /v/qn but it is not working. I already got 2 software with this issue. As a student of Aarhus University you can download an amount of software via OnTheHub. Windows 7, 10 and all of the VMware suite, among others VMware Workstation or Fusion for Mac, free! Furthermore you can locate more than 50 programs at a reduced price. You will find it all here: aarhus.onthehub.com.

The installation media for most packages can be downloaded (after purchase) via the ICTS License Manager Tool. You can download the registered license/software under 'My Software'.

  • More and more software is only available via download. Since the size of the packages is ever increasing the standard media used for sending software is via the Belnet FileSender service.
  • The cost of scientific software that is not centrally supported must be charged to users. The following principles are adopted to arrive at a simple, transparent and manageable billing model. They can be consulted on a separate page.
  • The campus licenses are only intended for research and education. If they concern administrative applications or commercially-based research you must first contact ICTS. It is quite possible that the standard KU Leuven license does not permit this type of use.

Student versions

ICTS also offers student versions for a large number of scientific packages. These versions can be purchased at the ICTS Customer Centre in Heverlee (payment by Bancontact) or ordered online via the ICTS Service Catalogue (remote payment by VISA, MasterCard/Bancontact). The student receives a link to download the software.

Student versions are only sold to students for their Bachelor or Master's programme. Personnel members that also have student status are expected to purchase a standard academic/research license using KU Leuven credits.

Students from the Science and Technology Group and those from the Business informatics department at the Faculty of Economics and Business have access to free software from Microsoft, via Dreamspark Premium.
